The Start of School is Right Around the Corner

Get ready for back to school at Austin Parkway Elementary with this checklist:

Get your school supplies - FBISD school supplies list
Meet your child's Teacher.  August 7th from 4p-5:30p.
	Help decorate the school for the first day of school.  (Aug. 8th Late afternoon - exact time TBD) email our awesome PTA president Christy Henneke at President@austinparkwaypta.org if you would like to help.
Complete your volunteer background check.   This needs to be completed every year after July 1.  If you plan to help out at the school at any point in the year, just get it out of the way now.
	First day of school is 8:05am on August 9th.  Join the PTA in the library for a small Tears and Cheers breakfast to meet other parents and learn about volunteering with the PTA.
